On this tour you will explore some of the rich echo tourism in the country! You will have the opportunity to visit Mole National Park, West Africa’s big game, visit the magnificent Kintampo Waterfalls, Buabeng Fiema Monkey Santuary, and The Stingless Bee Center.

Day 1 – Arrive in Accra

Akwaaba! Arrive and check into your hotel where you will receive a traditional welcome ceremony. Overnight at hotel in Accra


Day 2 – Accra City Orientation

Breakfast at hotel. Explore Accra, the capital of Ghana. The city boasts glittering beaches, monumental buildings, museums, libraries, galleries, traditional markets and lively nightlife. Accra’s architecture reflects its colonial history, with 17th century castles standing alongside modern skyscrapers. A veritable melting pot of cultures, the city’s central financial and shopping districts contrast sharply with the less affluent residential areas surrounding the urban core. Enjoy a local lunch and continue the drive to Elmina. Visit the famous Elmina Castle which erected by the Portuguese in 1482 as São Jorge da Mina Castle, also known simply as Mina or Feitoria da Mina in present-day Elmina, Ghana. Overnight at hotel in Elmina


Day 3 – Canopy Walkway

Breakfast at hotel. Check out and depart for a walk above the trees of the tropical rainforest of Kakum National Park during this canopy walkway adventure! The canopy walkway is one of the most popular and captivating attractions in Ghana. The Park is one of only two locations in Africa with a canopy walkway. Reaching heights of 50 meters (100 feet), a walk on the canopy walkway offers a breathtaking bird’s eye view of the forest and its diverse flora and fauna. Take an exciting Nature Hike through the reserve and look out for elusive forest elephants, wild cats and friendly primates. Enjoy refreshing coconut, palm wine and honey and learn about. Continue your day with a drive to Kumasi, seat of the Ashanti empire! Overnight in Kumasi


Day 4 – Ashanteman Empire  

Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Today we explore the Ashanti kingdom. Visit the legend of the famous Ashantis at the Manhyia Palace Museum where you will obtain firsthand information on the legacies of the Ashanti kingdom, a regal history that dates back to 1700 and is told with relics and artifacts. Enjoy a drive through the city of Kumasi to view monuments dedicated to the memory of the great Ashanti people. After lunch you will visit Buabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary. Continue the drive to Mole where you will spend the night


Day 5 – Mole National Park

Depart for an early morning trek through the park to view West Africa’s big game. Watch a beautiful sunrise and experience the rich wildlife that makes Mole so unique. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Visit the Mognori Eco Village, located 15 km from the main entrance of Mole National Park and the closest community living near the park. Embark on a cultural tour of the village to get a unique insight into the culture of the people living in close proximity with nature while maintaining their rich cultural heritage. The tour will offer you the opportunity to see how the villagers process shea butter and engage in other day to day activities. Sit back and watch in admiration or actively partake in the cultural performance conducted by the dance ensemble. Return to the park to embark on an afternoon trek to view other animals that may not have been seen in the morning. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Mole Motel.


Day 6 – Wechiaw Hippo Santuary

This morning we visit the Wechiau Hippo Sanctuary. A unique community-based project, protecting and preserving the wildlife and the environment of a 40km stretch of the Black Volta River in Ghana’s Upper West Region. The river is home to hippopotamus populations in Ghana. Wechiaw also offers a huge diversity of wildlife and the opportunities to become immersed in the local culture and activities. Return to Mole Motel for overnight


Day 7: Kintampo Waterfalls

After breakfast, check out and depart to Accra. Enroute stop at the magnificent Kintampo. As you drive from the north to south you will notice the scenery change before your very eyes. Visit the Kintampo Falls to experience the cool invigorating atmosphere created by nature. Savor the breath-taking view of its cascading waterfalls. Continue to Accra


Day 8: Departure back home

Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure. Late afternoon check out for airport formalities and final departure
